This Privacy Policy explains what information the Alpha Health mobile application ("Alpha Health", "the app", "we", "us", "our") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. Please read it carefully. By creating an account and using Alpha Health, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who we are

Alpha Health is owned and operated by Hindustan Scale Co (HSCo).

Alpha Health connects over Bluetooth to a compatible body-composition weighing scale and shows you your weight, BMI, body-fat %, body-water %, skeletal-muscle, BMR and related wellness metrics. It tracks this history over time and lets you optionally share your readings with a doctor or health provider you choose.

2. What information we collect

When you use Alpha Health, the following information is collected and stored on our own server (the backend at https://bmi.hindustanscale.com, accessed over HTTPS/TLS):

You sign in using your mobile phone number and a one-time password (OTP) delivered to you over WhatsApp. We do not use passwords, email sign-in, or Google sign-in.

Before any OTP is sent, you must tick a health-data consent checkbox confirming that you agree to Alpha Health collecting and processing your health-related information. Your consent is the basis on which we collect and use this data.

Alpha Health is a wellness and fitness tracking tool. It is not a regulated medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Measurements are estimates for informational and wellness purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical decision.

9. Children

Alpha Health is intended for adults (18 and over). It is not designed for, or directed at, children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us at support@hindustanscale.com so we can remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and make the updated policy available in the app and at our public Privacy Policy URL. Your continued use of Alpha Health after an update means you accept the revised policy.
